If you are looking for a great way to start your hiking season (and are around Evergreen, CO for some reason), check out the Bergen Peak Trail. This trail starts around 7800 ft, and will take you to around 9650 ft in 5 miles or so. If you are planning on doing the hike, try to get there early to avoid parking problems.
